Come spend an evening with Vennie Deas Moore, the celebrated author and photographer. Vennie is the co-author of "The Fishermen of the Lowcountry: Memories from Home", a photographic novel in which she captures the vanishing world of the Lowcountry fishermen in images and words that are pure, simple, and unflinchingly honest. The result is an inspiring look at those who harvest the bounty of the Lowcountry's waters, and the stunning landscape that is their home.
As we celebrate Black History Month, Between the Antlers is proud to host Ms. Deas Moore as shares her poetic knowledge of the South Carolina Lowcountry. We're honored she will be joining us as our next Writer-in-Residence.
